bronx glory

much thanks to jackson and vince for their baseball passion. we have all definitely caught whatever fever they have, and it was rampant in the bronx last week. priceless.

last minute champ

last night, jackson came into our room to ask us if he could go to today's chess tournament if his baseball playoff was rained out. well, the game was rained out, and we hopped in the car at 9:20 to get all the way to montebello ny so he could play some chess.

less than 2 hours later the kid was standing in front of about 30 kids and their parents with a gigundo 1st place trophy. again. now his baseball team needs to have the same high level of performance tomorrow after the rain stops and the field dries out. double-header if they win. then finals next weekend.

gimme a break. i'm not big on the conspiracy-theory thing, but this is getting ridiculous. here's a psa from the last time americans had a minor outbreak of the following symptoms:
